Tips for getting a good domain name:
Always get a .com name whenever possible. It is more than twice as effective as .net, .info, etc.
If you are creating 2 sites - one for the public and the other for your private team, you might want to get the .com and the .net of the same name, if both are available. Make the .com public (for recruiting and/or selling) and the .net (or .info or .biz) for your team training site.
If you have a site that just features videos, you might consider .tv
